chelsea
I would only spray the area that is predominantly being pecked and the area around it. It's good stuff - worked for us! (wear old clothes when applying )

Chook n Boo Mum
Not much really & my translator programme got befuddled by some words so they are still in French, (I assume picage is plucking?):- Ukadex - translation Composition - Animal Oil Proprietes - The strong smell repels insects and animals. In addition, it covers all other odors, which prevents antagonism in animals. Indication - Swine - Calm pigs and prevents them from batter and biting (cannibalism, grouping, transport etc) bull, calves, pigs - to prevent animals to suck, to Teter or lick (Wounds) Poultry - Chickens, ducks, pheasants, turkeys, partridges: Prevents picage Attention - Harmful if swallowed. Irritating to eyes and skin. Pressure vessels. Protect against sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50C Do not pierce or burn even after use. Do not spray towards a flame or any incandescent material. Keep Far from any flame or source of ignition - No smoking. Keep out of reach of children. Do not breathe aerosols. Use only in well-ventilated areas. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately and show this container or label. Use this only for aerosol applications in which it is intended. I don't spray mine as they are being plucked around their necks, I spray it into a jar & paint the revolting stuff over the affected areas, then seal the jar & brush in a carrier bag in a metal container outside the backdoor Just be sure you are standing upwind of the resultant "blowback" spray or you have a very nasty eau de cologne for several days Hope this helps, Sha x
Snowy
I just sprayed the pecked area (knickers in my case), but you do need to respray every few days as it wears off very quickly. I'm afraid it didn't deter mine, hence resorting to bumper bits.
Ness3103
thanx sha i thought picage was plucking. i managed to spray them all so fingers crossed it'll work the smell is awful you can smell it halfway down the garden and the wir stinks my os loves the smell so i said he can do the next spraying poor scarlet looks a right mess bless her. someone suggested putting vaseline on her feathers so the others couldn't pull them out. so i vaselined her and went out for the day, when i got back she'd obviously spent the afternoon dustbathing and looked a right state. i'm hoping her feathers will start to grow back soon
