4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

hi i tried to candle the eggs my broodie is sitting on today but im not sure how to do it or if you need a special torch.

 

can you give me some advice please

Hi,

 

What i used was just a normal sized torch,I put a thick peice of cardboard on the top with a hole in and it worked fine.

I use the light function on my mobile phone. You need to be somewhere very dark to do it and you need to hold the egg pointy end up and shine the light on the bottom of the egg. You'll see the air sac first. You might need to gently spin the egg around a bit because the yolk might be blocking your view.

With the cardboard & one of my girls eggs

 

 

and i also use one of those money tins that you need to use a can opener to open them
