bigmommasally
OH & I have had the last 2 weeks off work, because of looking after the pets we didn't want to go away so have been out of days instead. Yesterday we went to West Sussex and went Alpaca Walking followed by an 8 mile hike We had such fun I thought you'd like to see the photos. Here we are on our Alpaca Walk: The company are http://dunreythalpacas.co.uk/ Costs £15 each for an hours walk. The couple who run it are lovely, & they also have chickens. Afterwards we went for a hike starting in Kingely Vale, it was beautiful. Fabulous 500 year old yew trees and stunning scenery.
Sunshine
I love alpacas! They are gorgeous, what was yours called? Someone else off the forum went walking with llamas or alpacas i can't remember which and said they really enjoyed it. Ooo i really want to go now after seeing your cute pictures (wonder if there is somewhere in Cheshire that does it? )

Snowy
Brilliant! Where's Hen? There could be an income opportunity there for her - I'm sure she would be interested in people paying to take her boys for a walk!

Chook n Boo Mum
Sally, why didn't you say you were coming down, you could have popped in for a cuppa & a slice of cake you'd deserve it after Kingley Vale (I'm just outside Chichester!) Looks like you had a great day ! I heard about the alpaca walking from a friend, I must try & go there next week as a last "outing" of the holiday! bigmommasally
Thanks everyone it was a lovely day. Sunshine - My Alpaca was called Alfie, OH's was called Axle they are both 3 years old. Sha - Thats very sweet of you, though I'm not sure you would have wanted to be too near to us after our walk as we had got a tad hot & sweaty Next time I'm down your way though I'll be sure to seek you out. bigmommasally
How did you find them??? I was just searching for places with Alpacas to go and visit and this places came up. If you do go make sure you take their phone number with you as we found them a bit difficult to find, (not helped by the fact that our sat nav lost its signal in half way there ) they are down a tiny unmade track .
