Just went to check on the ladies in the run this afternoon and there it was in all its glory a cream egg sized brown egg YAY.

 

 

It was on the floor of the run and not in the coop is that OK

Sometimes the first egg can take them by surprise - so they lay it where they are! If the next egg isn't in the nest, try putting some glof balls or fake eggs in there to encourage laying in the right place.

Congratulations . All our first eggs were in the run too . The 2nd ones all ended up in the nestbox though .
