I currently have one eglu , but i want to get more chickens.

 

If i get another eglu will they all try and cram into one of them no matter what?

 

Or is it better to get something where they can all live together like a cube?

I'd have to sell my eglu to aid this purchase though.

 

Im trying to stick with eglu's as they are far easier to clean and reduce red mite risk, but its just a shame the cost so much !

I found that mine all tried to cram themselves into one Eglu.

 

I'd go for the cube and keep your Eglu as a sick bay/sin bin.

I had two eglus before the cubes were invented and no matter what i did they all crammed into one eglu. I love my cube, it's so much easier to clean than two eglus. And with a walk in run you could get more chickens than you can fit in two eglus

Thanks for your replies. Ive ordered a cube. Sadly cant keep the eglu as i need cant really afford both , so no sick bay/sin bin.

 

Hoping to get some orpingtons, or brahmas soon, along with some light sussex'.

I've never actually seen one, but i love their feathered feet. I've heard they are big, but not sure exaclty how big ?

 

Will 2 hybrids 2 bantams a brahma an orpington and 2 light sussexes fit in a cube ?

 

Allowed to free range during the day though .

Mine don't cram. 2 and 2 unless one girl Scrags feels off or softee then she slepps downstairs in thPiglu not upstairs in the Eglu.
