Guest
It's a male trait (sometimes) perhaps I should introduce to you to my mother-in-law - she'd give any man a run for his money!! Phil
chocchick
It's a male trait (sometimes) I think it's just a special talent. He brilliantly asked a depressive struggling student on a social how their thesis was going....then kept asking despite increasingly less subtly hints from people around him Will stop being mean now. theherd123
Choccy - dont give up! To quote my grandad - in very poorly spelt latin - Nil desperandum secundematum Never fear all will be well!!!
Cate in NZ
Oh, Choccy, it does sound as if you're struggling at the moment, but Phd's are notoriously difficult (says she who who ducked out of her Masters early.... I'm well happy with a PGDip and don't care if I never ever clap my eyes on another peice of research or essay ). But you've come so far and done so well up to now, this sounds like a loss of motivation and a confidence problem, and that's not suprising given the amount of time you've spent studying over the past few years. Hang on in there..... you'll be fine, but do use your supportive lecturers for help. Big hugs, so sorry things are tough right now. Don't give up.
