We use Verm-X every month as the instructions say, is this enough to keep worms at bay?

I would say no....just taken in my brothers bantams that were on Verm-x and have spotted a worm in the poop tray!

A big NO I am afraid. Verm-x is not a licensed wormer in line with current veterinary medicines it is a 'herbal feed supplement'. I would strongly advise that you use Flubenvet as a wormer. By all means use the Verm-x as a supplement but it should not be relied upon as a wormer.

A no from me too. Bitter experience here. I spent a fortune on VermX only to find that my hens were badly infested with worms.

 

A course of Flubenvet 4 times a year does the trick.

Yes as a preventative treatment, but I doubt I'd rely on it if I had a known worm problem. How do you know if you have a worm problem .... get a poo sample to the vet for analysis. If it's clear, keep up the monthly Verm-x routine, if it's not, use something else.
