We had our first egg tonight, I was so pleased I had to ring everyone and tell them, they all think I'm mad. I even sent the person I got the chooks off a text.

I got my first egg today and i'm so excited! My girls only arrived yesterday and I didn't think they'd lay for a while yet.

We too have just had our first egg! Yippee!!

The girls were in their run when I noticed Ophelia had disappeared back into the Eglu. She was gone for about 20 mins and when she came out my daughter and I rushed out.......nothing there . But.........she went straight back in for another half hour and this time she left us the most beautiful egg, it looked so cute in the nest box, I had to pinch myself, . Lovely shape and colour and weighing 44g. (not that I`ve become egg-obsessed or anything!)
