Milly Posted September 11, 2009 Share Posted September 11, 2009 I think it helps if you buy whole lettuces rather than leaves in bags, which have already been split up and could have been damaged when they were sorted and cleaned. Of course that doesn't work for rocket, which only comes as leaves! I usually wash lettuce and keep it either in a roomy plastic bag or a salad spinner in the fridge and it normally keeps for a week or so.
