Ain't Nobody Here
Any comments on whether it's worth it? Do they just put weed/feed on your lawn or do they do more than that? My lawn is tiny so I could do it myself but I'd like some advice on a couple of things.
Egluntyne
Yep. They treat our lawns 3 or 4 times a year. It has made a huge difference. They will do additional treatment if you ask, such as aereating etc. Not expensive either. We pay about £50 per quarter I think.
abwsco
We used to use them BC and it cost £12 a quarter to have the front and back done. Stopped it when we got the girls as didn't seem any point anymore.
redhotchick
My mum and dad used to get it done. It wasn't expensive, and although in theory you could do what they did yourself, you just don't get round to it do you? Their lawn looked much improved for the treatments. They have stopped and it shows!
Ain't Nobody Here
in theory you could do what they did yourself, you just don't get round to it do you? That's it exactly . I've got a woman coming next week to have a look . Apparently you don't have to sign up for anything and can pick and choose which treatments you want. My lawn is so small, I'm hoping it won't cost much .
Ain't Nobody Here
Nice lady from Green Thumb came round yesterday. Our lawn is so small that it's the lowest price (and that includes the front lawn too) . £14 to get both lawns done is pretty good, I reckon. She's recommended scarifying it but not till next year as it's a new lawn. That will probably sort out the bald soil patches each time I mow it. poachedegg
Ours is only small too and having the Green Thumb treatment has made a huge difference - definitely worth it to us.
