Hi

 

my vet has no idea what might be wrong with our chicken - but would like to give Baytril. She says that this means we will not ever be able to eat the eggs again.

 

Does anyone know any different?

Advice varies from vet to vet. My vet always says 28 days.

28 days seems to be the general guide line

as for not eating the eggs thats DEFRA'S rules I've been eating the eggs from one of mine but I don't give them to any body else she had batril in july finished withdraw in early august I've asked a questrian about if any body gives eggs away after a reasonable time but got no replies

Just to muddy the waters, I was told a week! 28 days for meat birds thoguh to get the residue out of their systems.
