4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

like it says, what did you use? trying to decide whether to clad it with flat or corrugated plastic or use tarps or shower curtains...

Plastic shower curtain, and it's withstood one winter but I need to replace it before this one. I probably would have moved to a proper glass tarpaulin, except that I'm hoping to get a WIR before much longer.

 

I also used a spare Eglu winter shade that I had, but it's just disintegrated! It's definitely worth some sort of plastic though, as keeping the run dry contributes enormously to keeping smells down.

I have just put a clear glass tarpaulin on mine and it works really well. Got it on line from Tarpaflex.

I was thinking of getting some Tarpaflex for the winter. I have an Eglu and normal sized run, does anyone already have a cover,? not sure what size I need? I reckon the smallest (2m x 2.4m ) is plenty big enough?

I can highly recommend corrugated plastic sheets for an eglu run .

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE 2M X 2.4M CLEAR TARPAULIN FOR MY RUN - IT SAYS 'OUT OF STOCK' ON THEIR WEBSITE FOR THAT SIZE BUT WHEN I EMAILED TO ASK WHEN NEW STOCK WOULD ARRIVE THE ANSWER WAS 'END OF OCTOBER' SO I'M MAKING DO WITH SOME BUBBLEWRAP AT PRESENT (WHICH GIVES THEM ENDLESS FUN AS THEY HAVE PECKED IT FROM INSIDE AND BURST THE INNER BUBBLES - JUST LIKE CHILDREN LIKE TO DO!)

While waiting for your tarpaflex you could use Ikea shower curtains(89p) and bungees. It works fine for me. I have also made a sloping frame over the run so that the rain water runs off in one direction to keep the run dry and I fold the edge of the curtain to act as a channel so it runs off into a bucket.
