I went to a Spanish lesson today at a local comprehensive that do lessons during the day for adults.

It was an introductory lesson, just to give us a taste of things to come, good fun though, I was a bit nervous and my mind kept going a bit blank!

I know quite a lot of Spanish words just haven't got any idea how to put them together.

My friend was going to come with me but she ducked out about an hour before we went, I was a bit unhappy about that.

Anyway I shall give it a go and see what happens.

Oh good luck, we've tried the Muzzy (kids learning programme) way in our house. I couldn't even do that properly.....

I just got back from Spain and was highly embarrassed at not knowing any words.

 

We said all the years at school we spent learning verbs etc in French and still rubbish at it

 

One of OH friends spent a bit of time with a short phrase book to say a few sentences and sounded very good(the only thing was when they answered him back he didnt always understand)

I did 2 years of evening classes (OH is Chilean by birth and speaks it fluently, but would consider English his major language).

 

Go for it! It's great fun. But if you don't use it regularly, you will lose it (as I am a prime example).
