alex_m
Are there any tell-tale signs that I can look out for to know when they will start laying?
xScrunchee
They quite often start crouching as you approach them when they are very close to laying. Also their combs and faces normally get quite red
Space Chick
When your chickens start crouching is a fab sign (although 2 of mine have never crouched but do lay - they obviously didn't read the rule book ). Eggs tend to follow within a few weeks of crouching
Egluntyne
They will also develop a huge appetite.
