We've got fairy lights permanently on the WIR. They are the Tescos solar powered ones...very blue and very bright. Looks like a spaceship has landed in the garden each night.

I think ill join this thread as l love the idea of making there run all christmasy.I wonder weather you can get chicken shaped lights now that would be fab l bet some where out there you can telling other half should be fun

Hi,

We have a walk in run, but I am sure this would work on the top of an Eglu run, solar powered outdoor lights !!! we bought some at Sainsburys, they are yellowy/orange and red, we mounted the little solar panel on an old broom stick in a place that gets daylight all year round and we have had the lights working since about June, even now with the shorter days they are on from dusk til dawn, we wound them amongst some shrubs, I love them they cheer up the chicken run and they are fairly eco-friendly (if you ignore manufacture etc ) Good Luck, Rosie
