Laura & CTB
Yesterday morning woke up to no heating! Checks thermostat - clicking but nothing happening. Ha Ha she says - must be problem with thermostat - buys new thermostat and fixes into place after work with help of CTB ( holding torch). Just puts last screw into place when CTB says " I just got dripped on" Looks up to find water dripping through ceiling and on further investigation finds cylinder leaking like a good 'un Call plumber who comes out and drains system saying he will be back today at noon to install new cylinder.......... Survive freezing cold night. It's now 7.30pm and I am still waiting for hin to arrive I'm FREEZING cold and if he doesn't turn up soon I am going to sleep in the eglu with the chickens - one each as ear muffs
theherd123
Oh no its not the time of year to be having heating problems is it!!??? My best suggestion is to get a nice cup of hot chocolate & snuggle under a blanket with your OH until the plumber arrives

Cate in NZ
Oh, no. I do hope that plumber turns up soon. Chickens as ear muffs sounds like a great idea, except that you'll have the most gloriously toasty ears...... and frostbite on the toes I do hope that you get it sorted very soon. Laura & CTB
Thanx for the sympathy - I'm on my own (OH has gone to work) with a glass of white wine ( which is also cold) - should've gone for the mulled wine instead methinks
