How long are they supposed to last v's a wooden coop? I'm really torn as to which chicken housing to get and how much I want to spend heeeelp

Actually I've no idea but think how long plastic in general lasts . Have you seen the new Eglu Go? Might be good if you're on a budget .

Its hard to say, many people have Eglus from when they were launched in 2005 (or was it 2003??)

 

My red Eglu is a few years old and scrubs up like new

 

Some colours fade more than others but regarding the actual integrity of the plastic I would imagine would last indefinitely and there are few moving parts to go wrong

I've had my eglu for 3 years now, but it was second hand when I bought it, so I think it's probably about about 5 years old, so it's an early Mark 2. It's in really good condition and only slightly faded.

I have recently bought a second hand red eglu and that's really held it's colour well. My green and purple ones are just as good as when I bought them too.
