Eggquisite
Sorry we're back with another question So, we let our chooks out as normal this morning, they all popped out for some food then slowly one by one they all went back into the A few minutes ago I went down to see what was happening & Muffin is tucked in the nest box, Custard is sat in the hole of the nest box & the other 3 are all sat on their roosting bars including Rhubster! Only Daisy & Pootle who are both a few weeks younger than the others are free ranging quite happily. Is it normal that the others should all have gone back inside? Recently (about the last 2 weeks) Muffin has been keen to stay in the nest box from time to time but now it seems the others don't want to come out either I'm sure this is generally ok but is there anything we should be going or should we just leave them to come out in their own time? The Dogmother
I'd leave them to it, they'll come out when they want. If you're worried, then sprinkle some corn in the run and they'll race out to get it.

Jools
My cockerels often sit in the house with their ladies while they get on with the egg laying business. Sometimes they even offer them words of encouragement ..... PUSH!!!
