Cinnamon
I stayed in all day yesterday, despite being unwell & needing meds & having no food in the house, waiting for DHL to turn up. They didn't show. So, I have waited in all day today too for an am delivery, & you've guessed it,no show again. Now,its not even a delivery as such, they are picking an item up. Its too big to be in the house, but apparently if I am not here to sign to say they have taken it,they won't take it away with them.I can't leave a note on the door & have no neighbours I can call on To make it even more annoying, its not even my thing they are picking up - its a motor my husband bought on eBay which broke & is going back for repairs. The seller has really mucked us around with delivery (it took 2 weeks to get to us in the first place) & the subsequent pick up. It now transpires that I can't even open a dispute against him to try for a refund,as its more than 45 days since we won it. There - got all that of my chest
chickencam
Very frustrating What's their excuse? I had to wait in 2 days last week once for a delivery and once for a collection and both were done right at the end of the time period, by which time it was too late to do anything else with the day. Seagazer
Its so annoying isn't it? You can usually guarantee if I'm given a time slot that they don't turn up until the very last minute. Hope you feel better soon and that they turn up!
Cinnamon
Well, the eBay guy hasn't yet given me the consignment number so DHL won't even look into it or tell me if the van is on its way. I suspect the eBay chap is a muppet to be honest, & I am not even certain if he has booked a pick up................... Can't hoover, can't have a bath, can't even visit the hens to cheer me up................aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhh You wouldn't believe the amont of online shopping I have done, which thinking about it is probably really foolish as I might have to wait in for that all to be delivered too
Chucky Mama
It now transpires that I can't even open a dispute against him to try for a refund,as its more than 45 days since we won it. hmm, I would be a bit worried that this is ever going to happen. I had someone that stalled me for long enough for the claim period to expire
Cinnamon
Sadly,it was expensive too I am keeping a sharp eye on the feedback expiration date,I can tell you!
Old Speckled Hen
That is sooooooooo annoying. Why do so many organisations, utilities, delivery people all think we can just sit around waiting for them all day. The tax man is never late I have to agree with you Cinnamon, I suspect DHL know nothing about it.
ubereglu
That's really annoying and why won't the chap give you a consignment number-very dodgy I think... Hope you get it sorted soon and feel better too!
Cinnamon
Finally arrived at 5pm today. I phoned DHL to complain & they really sould not care less The driver wasn't happy either as no one had told him it was a pallet & boy did he complain about the weight of it (its only a small motor!) He said that he caouldn't take it as it was too heavy for health & safety regs. Told him how it was odd then that he was the very driver who delivered the exact same thing here 3 weeks ago
Happy chickens!
Grrrr, what a pain hope you get sorted. I like John Lewis - ordered yesterday lunchtime, free delivery, picked up the e-mail this morning saying was on the way, delivered lunchtime today! Chookiehen
I had to sit in all day Thursday for a delivery from UPS, which duly arrived at 4:30pm. Asked the driver if he could wait 30 seconds, as the delivery was a return envelope for a broken mp3 player, that was to be returned via UPS. He radioed his depot, and they told him he'd have to leave without it, and I'd have to phone to arrange pickup!. So then I had to wait in all day yesterday as well, for the same guy to come back again.. What a complete waste of my time, and his. Not to mention the waste of diesel!
