It will be a strange week - update :(

Recommended Posts

I have just returned from Portsmouth where I waved goodbye to the offspring who were off to Camp Beaumont for the week on the Isle of Wight. I am sure that they will have a great time but, boy, it will be quiet here!

I am also feeling a bit guilty as DS has had a minor cold all week. We went to the O2 to see Green Day last night as we were offered tickets at the last minute. It was brilliant but he should probably have had an early night really! Oh well. Can't do much about it now!

Isn't it just typical??? Poor old DS woke up this morning at Camp with a raging temperature, being sick. I had to go and pick him up so at least he is home in his own bed now but, apparently, today and tomorrow were going to be the best days!

By the way - if anyone on here is from the Isle of Wight, could you tell me why every car seems to think that there is a blanket 30 mph limit on the whole island. There I was, rushing to see sick child and then rushing to catch the ferry back and I kept coming across the slowest cars ....in the world! It certainly didn't help my blood pressure.

Poor you Jane, I have to say that double decker drivers didn't seem to drive at 30 mph......it felt considerably more the day we took a load of our nursery aged kiddlings to the IOW, I can honestly say it was the scariest trip I've ever been on

Having said that, yes most car drivers do seem to dawdle over there on other trips

I hope your poor little soldier gets well soon, DD was very poorly with skyhigh temp last week & ended up with anti-bs, in some ways thank goodness it was half term, but she missed out on the best part of a week & several outings, clubs & outings :(

{{hugs}} to you both,

Sha x

I think my ED could be so ill from flu that she can't lift her head from her pillow, but still be able to go and see Green Day. They are her new fave band.
