Space Chick
Well its been a week since the babies have been integrated with the big girls, and apart from a little chasing on the odd occasion it has been all happy. (I say babies they are over 30 weeks old now ) However, the babies have still been sleeping in their bed and not in the cube. As the nights are getting colder and its Guy Fawkes in less than a week, I decided to put them in the cube with their sisters. Nyssa instantly went and cuddled up with the others, Susan came straight back out again, but I put her back in, and Rose moved to cuddle up to her (It was so sweet, she lifted her wing up slightly and Susan nestled in, it made me cry it was so sweet) Lets hope that it'll all be OK over night, as both Grace and Ace can sometimes be madams and so I hope they are accepting
dippy bird
aww, that sounds soooo sweet!!! BTW, was watching your web cam earlier - what did you give your girls to eat in the bowls? Was it porridge? Sorry, I am a bit nosey.
Space Chick
That was their veg and bran mix, they LOVE it. Basically when I peel veg (not potatoes) I blitz it in the food processor and add some bokashi bran. Tonight they have carrot, parsnips and asparagus with their bran You are not nosey dippy bird, I put the webcam up so people could see them if they wanted to

abwsco
Bet you're up early tomorrow to check on them all Debs We've had one night where one of the boys decided to go into the cube and the other one was going to but got pecked as soon as he stepped foot in the door so sensibly they've not tried again-lol Mind you they're only 18 weeks old on Tuesday. Space Chick
Well all was well last night, I think they must have bonded as Susan even felt brave enough to free range today (usually she's too scared and makes a racket by the door ) However, tonight, the babies went back to their old bed So I have had to move them to the cube. Maybe tomorrow they will work it out themselves
