Wet Chickens and rain in general

Recommended Posts

It's bucketing down here today and the chickens went out in it and ended up soaked. I put them away but now they're grumpy that they're locked up in the covered run and they're all bedraggled. I'm scared they're going to get sniffles so should i dry them somehow or leave them? should I in general keep them in the covered run when it rains or will it do them no harm?

have to admit, my DD's will barely sit still to have their hair dryed never mind my chickens, and I ahve shooed them back in their run, when they've been soaked.

The Dog also objected to being hoovered, when I thought it a great way to get rid of his moulting coat....perhaps I should blow dry him when he comes home soaking wet???
