Trunkey
24 hours in and all is well thus far, last night I placed a torch in the Eglu and around 5.40pm off they went, left them for a few mins then closed the door. Opened the door around 7.00am this morning and out they came. It was around 5.30 when I got back and on going into the garden all three of the chooks were sat in the Eglu on the bars and not in the nest. Rather proud of them to be honest! JanTheDiver
So you should be, they are clever little things. I always have some sleeping in the nest I have got used to cleaning it out every morning now, part of the routine on getting them up

quickcluck
Mine did that! I put a flower pot in the nest bit to stop it, but when I looked in Polly the Orp had wedged herself on top of the pot!!!!! No idea how she did that
docsquid
I'm resigned to having mine sleep in the nest. They just seem to like it, all snuggled up together.
