Chicken bald back

We live about 500 meters down the road from a particular visitor attraction that we used to work for, and every year does a collosal fireworks display, naturally we were worried that the chickens might freak out, so we went outside to watch the display and listen out for any distressed chicken noises.

 

The thing that made my night... they were more irritated by use opening the egg port and letting light in to check on them, than they were by the noise

 

I hope everyone elses chickens have been ok through tonight

Nor mine . Having said that, Penny was wandering about the WIR in the dark (all the others were in bed) so perhaps she was a bit disturbed by the noise - not that there was much, tbh!

My chickens slept all the way through it i think, i didnt check on them but i listened out for any distressed noises, theyy were fine.

 

In fact, i probably jumped more than they did at the fireworks
