Janty
As the three ducks had become HUGE, it was becoming clear to me that I couldn't give them the kind of life that they deserved. We took them on as ducklings on the understanding that they would eventually live with the in-laws but I had got rather attached to them. My in-laws have prepared a section of their field for them and they took them earlier today. I know that they will be better off with grass and more space, etc. Still though. Lewis
Hard decision to make but sounds like you had the ducks at the centre of it. At least you'll still be able to go and see them No new run then either
chick wiggle
Aww, thats hard Janty, but they'll be happy and as Lewis said you'll still see them
Janty
No new run then either Well, hubby was just saying that the run would be nice for the pekins and bantams as we have paid the deposit already.
Lesley
Hard decisions - but for the best, don't they grow so fast?!! Sounds like you have a good use for the run though

Even better - more room for the banties!
Janty
It was a really tough decision. I felt it tonight when I went out to close up all the eglus, etc and fill up the water tubs for the morning. I always said that they would move to the in-laws if I felt that I couldn't give them what they needed though. Still doesn't make it any easier. Janty
What next? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I think I am just going to concentrate on my little monsters. I have the pekin chicks to keep me occupied at the moment. They are two weeks old tomorrow and Wednesday. I've also got Scary Spice to fatten up after her illness. Her and Lauren, the other cochin are currently in the hole that was the duck pond digging for worms.
