dippy bird
OMG, I sent my OH to make sure all the girls had gone to bed as they had been FR all day, he came back and said they hadn't been able to get in as the door of the WIR had slammed shut.Anyway, he went back out after a few minutes and as far as he could see,all but one had gone to bed,the one that hadn't had managed to trap herself between the side of the run and next doors hedge so my OH went round to my neighbours and rescued her. We put her to bed and locked both coops up and shut the door for the WIR thinking that they were all safely in bed. This morning, he went out to let them out and found Elsie all hunched up in the middle of the garden!!! I feel so bad as we didn't do a head count which I always do. Fortunately Elsie is absolutely fine and obviously hasn't been chomped by a fox!! Needless to say, I will be putting them to bed tonight and counting them all!!

dippy bird
it's hard as it's so dark where their run is,and we had given the torch that we use to my mum.I felt so bad as Elsie is one of the ex bats that we had rescued.Fortunately she is well feathered. But last night was sooooooooo cold!!
