pinkmagic
I had 4 hens altogether, 2 Polish bantam sisters and 2 ex batts but last week one of my Polish girls went missing. I don't think the fox had her as there was no feathers and the other s are fine. I don't think she is coming back though as have contacted neighbours, rspca etc and no sightings. The problem is that her sister is seriously pining. Although all the hens got on, there was 2 distinct pairs, with the Polish sisters hanging out together and the 2 ex batts preferring each others company. I am looking to find a companion for the Polish but am really struggling to find a breeder in the Nottinghamshire area. If anyone knows of any for sale I would be extremely grateful. Griffin
I know it's not Nottinghamshire, but I've hatched bantam Polands from eggs I got from Luci at The Birdhaus near Brackley, Northamptonshire. She breeds Polands, not sure what stock she's got now though. She might also know of somebody nearer to you. Her number is 01280 851261

Patricia W
Where are you, pinkmagic? Chalk Hill Poultry near Alton in Hampshire has them sometimes btu hasn't at the moment because I asked. I got mine recent ones from a breeder near March in Cambridgeshire. She bred some specially for me. If you pm me I'll put you in touch as she doesn't seem to advertise widely. She has a trio of Buff Laced Chamois and has a friend with frizzles, so I've got a nice mixture of colours and feather type. My main ones are White Crested Black Polish and I have a trio - I have to say, I think they are my favourite but don't tell them! Griffin
Luci is really nice, I just bought three cracking chicks from her I'm in awe of her pink hair. Anybody who likes chickens, has a pet pigeon and has pink hair must be alright in my book
