Chicken bald back

Went to collect the eggs on my return from work this evening and was greeted by this.....

 

 

I've not been so excited to see an egg since my very first!!! It must of course be from my Cotswold Legbar girl, Lucy, but I was beginning to think she wasn't going to lay blue eggs! Because she free ranges with all the rest it's hard to tell what belongs to who! But I guess this solves it!!

you lucky lucky thing!! that is wonderful! i am still waiting for my araucana to lay her first egg she is 36 weeks old and being extremely stubbon, i bet when she does eventually lay one it wont be blue either!! although at the moment anything from her whatever the colour, would be nice, megghenn

Wow, it looks like planet Earth amongst the others! My sister has a legbar but it doesn't lay blue eggs - not guaranteed, so you have all the luck. Well done.
