sandyhas3chucks
Any tips, how do you calculate? If someone has done for 30 I could multiply.
theherd123
WOW!!! Thats a lot of kidney beans! I'd love to help but wouldn't know where to start in catering for 60! How about you do a range of chillis each with a different heat strength instead?
sandyhas3chucks
that'd be even MORE work! Just done a whole slow cooker full, that according to recipe is ONLY enough for 8. Guess that is with nothing else, doing spuds in jackets with it. And veggie options. Oh and plain grated cheese. That no right for any one tough there's always french bread My skills if you can call it that is basic Christmas Dinner for 8 Can feed 100 dogs and 8 chiickens now but 60 people
Cinnamon
I usually cook a batch with 500g of Beef mince for the 4 of us. But you could really up the veggie content (cubed courgette, red pepper,an extra tin of tomatoes etc) & probably get away with it feeding 8 I reckon. Those kidney beans with chilli sauce are really good too, & I usually throw in a can a baked beans too if I need to stretch it any further. Hope that helps? ali-s
I'll ask one of the chefs at work today. The mince arrives at the school in big plastic crates which hold about 40lbs, but I'm not sure how many that feeds.

kitchens
Throw some red peppers in there too to bulk it up a bit. You could also have side dishes of homous, guacamole, salsa, grated cheese and doritos which are yum. What's the occasion? Good luck... and have lots of fun. chickencam
You will probably find that you will use less in jacket potatoes than on rice. I would just add a few beans at the end of cooking the next batch, if you are planning on mixing the 2 together. Tortilla chips go well with chilli as does sour cream.
