Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Who else has their life ruled by chickens. I came in from work about 3.30 thinking I'll give the girls their corn but won't let them out to free range as I was going shopping and its really wet and muddy here. They had other ideas, as soon as I opened the run door to collect the feeders there was a mad dash over my feet and up the garden into the vegetable patch. I'm going shopping later now as the chances of getting them back in aren't good, I suppose I could do some housework instead.

Yup, definitely ruled here.

 

Mine even tell me what time they want their tea....and if I am a teeny bit late don't I know it! Even with the shorter day/time difference they are bokking for their tea an hour earlier.

Yep same here, completely ruled by them. We do what ever they say. I have changed an appointment time today so that I can be here for them going up to bed.

same her total under the wing got told off this morning for disturbing cyclone while she was trying to lay all i was doing was clean up after them the noise she made you'd have thourght I was trying to murder her

Mine all run to the front of the WIR when they see me and shout for treats until I give in.

 

I even have to leave the lights off at the back of the house in the mornings until I am ready to feed them as they think ahhhh, lights.....food!

Yes, well I'm a bit like that too. I can't remember what it was like before chickens (BC).

 

But I wouldn't have it any other way!
