Joojoo
Thanks Sam. I really appreciate you signing and everyone who has signed. The more signatures we can get, the more likely it is that we will be able to get some recognition for the illness. Please keep them coming

Joojoo
Thank you for raising awareness about the condition, I didn't know anything about it before.Have signed. Thanks Sheila Unfortunately not many people do know about it hence why so many suffer for such a long time before they do eventually get diagnosed. chickencam
Signed. I feel for you, my mum has suffered from debilitating migraine for most of her life, and as others have said to have those other syptoms on top of that must be very hard for you. I hope that you and others soon get relief from this condition by the raised awareness.
Joojoo
Thanks very much Liz I'm hoping that if I can just inform a few people about it, that it will help someone from suffering as long as I have.
mostin
Wow Jules, that sounds awful, and to me quite frightning, as I've just come out of hospital with most of those symptoms after my migraine . I wonder what is mentioned at my neurologist appointment? I hope everything goes ok with your op, and that you finally get a release from the pain. Thanks ever so much for signing I did think about you the other day when I saw your post on FB When you do see your neurologist ask him if he is going to do an MRI? If they do, Chiari would show up if you had got something like that. It might even be worth you mentioning that you have heard about it recently and that you had alot of the symptoms. Hopefully you haven't but whatever happened with you, you definitely need to get to the bottom of it. You sounded absolutely dreadful the other day. I should think you were worried sick Hope it has eased off now for you
mostin
Thanks Jue, i had a bit of a relapse this morning , so I took some of the emergency tablets they sent home with me. You can only take them twice in one month. They've eased things again now, phew, just the usual pain and the shakes now . Don't know when my appt is but I will mention an MRI as they didn't find anything on the CT scan. Doctor wrote me off for another week today , so fingers crossed I won't need another note after that. If the emergency tablets worked then it probably is a really nasty migraine otherwise I don't think they would have helped but it's not a bad idea to have an MRI just to make sure. CT scans don't show as much as MRIs as I know to my cost. I had a CT scan years ago and it didn't show anything wrong but the MRI has proved that the things I'm suffering from now would have been there from birth (CT scan missed them) although apart from the headaches they weren't causing the other problems until recently. I can totally understand you wanting to get back to work but please don't rush it My head had been bad on and off for a few months earlier this year then I ended up having such a bad attack that I was off for 3 months from June-September Just make sure you drink as much water as you can and have plenty of rest and chicken cuddling x
mostin
thanks Jue, It's hard not to rush because of the guilt. The doctor offered me a 2 week sick note and only took one week. I'm kind of regretting it now as I really want to go to the Fed chicken show next weekend, but then I know I'll be suffering again. Surely I should be able to have some fun though? I might not survive at work anyway even if I gave it a miss? ohhhhh the guilt of decisions and home verses work .

I really would be very careful not to go back to soon. It's only a few days since you came out of hospital. I can understand you wanting to go back and I was exactly the same but you don't want to make yourself even more poorly especially with Christmas coming up. Think how horrible that would be if you were ill when you should be relaxing and enjoying some time with Shaun and the girls I'm sure if you go back to the doctors he will extend your sick note to cover another week. Re the Fed show I would see how you feel at the time. If you're up to it then go but if not there is always next year. I pushed myself a bit too hard the other week to go to the Good Food Show at the NEC then ended up ill in bed for 3 days after cos I had tried to do too much With hindsight I really shouldn't have gone. I'll keep everything crossed for you with the docs - please let me know how it all goes xx
mostin
I think I kid myself that I am doing so well, because I am doing so little . We bobbed out for some bits today from the garden centre, and I was certainly very shakey when we got back and had to sleep again and take some more pain killers. and I am still getting waves of nausea. A note for another week wouldn't be a problem to get, she told me that when she gave me the first one, so it's just up to me. It's just so hard to judge isn't it? And you're right, I do want a nice time at christmas, I don't want to be ill then.
Joojoo
From what you have said I would DEFINITELY ask her for another week. You really don't sound like you are ready to go back to work if it's knocking you about so much just to pop to the garden centre. Be kind to yourself and make sure you get plenty of rest. Keep in touch with your doctor too so she knows how you are. Hopefully your appointment for the Neurologist will come soon
