Mattaz
the other day i was putting something together for my girls and by accident i created a masterpiece! Ill try and get pictures of it later and the chickens adore it!! Im going to give one each to my girls at xmas. Here's how to make it: Perfect Pastie for hungry hens 1. Get a slice of bread ( crusts are the best one to use ) 2. Soak the bread under tap water for around 40 seconds 3. Place the bread onto a plate. 4. Sprinkle Raisins onto the Bread then crush some cereal onto the bread ( nothing too sweet, i like to use weetabix, shreddies, porridge oats or cheerios) 5. Mix the raisins and cereal into the soggy bread. Make sure you dont mix it into the crusts, you need the crusts in good condition. 6. So far you should have what looks like a weird dough inside some crusts. 7. Cook a very small amount of pasta and slice it, Put into the bread/dough. 8. If you want to, add some grapes and any extra foods your chickens love, but dont go over the top, there needs to be more dough than treats. 9. make sure the dough is well mixed and the crusts are still there. Then fold over the dough/bread carefully so it doesnt break and then it should look sort of like a pastie. 10. Press down the edges of the pastie so everything stays inside. 11. Well you're practically finished now, if you want to, you can feed it to your chickens now or simply place it into the fridge over night and wait for it to set and feed it to them in the morning. Either way im sure you'll agree your chickens will love you forever once they get the Perfect Pastie for Hungry Hens.
