laurmurf
mostin and I have found this to be the case with our older girls and her exbatts: despite loading up on the calcium through oyster shell and limestone flour, there isn't any turning back for our chooks now... do you find the whites are runny too? Jools
You could try adding a little cod liver oil to their feed daily to help with calcium absorption.
sjp
what type of feeder do you use for grit? I had the same with mine net eating grit when I first got them. it turned out to be the hole in the feeder being to small and my 2 layers being picky so I made the holes bigger so they could see the grit better and sort out the right peice I now use cage cups.I allso changed feed brands but that was because one girl laid far to many sofies

Egluntyne
How about some limestone flour?
rabbitfluff
My girl who lays nearly every day started having really thin shells. I bought some limestone flour about 3 weeks ago and judging by the egg I had to hack my way in to last night, it does seem to be doing the trick.
