patsylabrador
I really miss the silliness that was guessing what the No 1 would be at Christmas. It was invariably rubbish and we'd say ' no!!! not that', especially if it was Cliff Richard for the hundredth year in a row. I know there's more important things to think about but it really was bit of a tradition for a lot of people. X factor brings a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and I'm not knocking the programme but when I read the winner was guaranteed no 1, I thought it was bit of a shame and they could at least pretend other artists could join in the christmas fun. Cinnamon
I want Tim Minchins fantastic song 'White wine in the sun' to be no 1,although I do realise thats very unlikely! It made me cry buckets when I heard him perform it earlier this year, & when I met him afterwards he was so happy that we all liked it so much Its not your usual Christmas song, but I defy you not to get a bit choked up when he sings about his baby daughter

Jillus
There is a wonderful download at Help for Heroes of a song called Love Farewell which would be a brilliant and timely Christmas Number 1. http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk It cost only £1 and all the profits go to help injured soldiers. These are the Lyrics: Love Farewell I thought I heard the Colonel crying March brave boys there's no denying Cannons roaring - drums abeating March brave boys there's no retreating... Love Farewell If I should fall in far off battle Cannons roar and rifles rattle Thoughts fly homeward - words unspoken Valiant hearts are oftimes broken Love Farewell Will you go or will you tarry Will you wait or will you marry Would this moment last for ever Kiss me now and leave me never Love Farewell I thought I heard the Colonel crying March brave boys there's no denying Cannons roaring - drums abeating March brave boys there's no retreating Love Farewell Edited December 14, 2009 by Guest

Lydia
I'd like anyone not signed to Sony BMG to be No 1 for a change.
