Help! I'm having a panic. I need to take my Eglu to pieces tomorrow to set up again in my mum's. (round the corner) I'm planning on keeping the chickens in a cat box until it's set up again. So I need to be quick, as it's not ideal! I haven't taken it to pieces in 2 years.

Dreading it.

What do I need to line up tonight? Screw drivers. Spare clips. A spanner?

Any tips?

Hi, all i used was a screwdriver (one of the + head ones)

You don't need to be quick as my girls were in the carrier for 2 hours, put it together slowly as i tried to put it together fast and i got one of the screws stuck (uncle had to help me lol)

You might need some spare clips for then run though??

Use a coin to clip open the run clips :)

If you can't get new ones ordered, cable ties should do a good job of holding it together as well.

The run screws may be a bit tight after 2 years, so just be caeful with those.

Can you let the chooks free-range for a bit while you dismantle the run? If not, it should be fine :)

Hi guys, it took me 3 hours from start to finish. I had to put Bella in the cat box straight from the Eglu in the morning, or I just wouldn't have caught her. Dolce is much easier to handle.

Bella wasn't in the cat box for 3 hours though. Only as long as it took me to dimantle the run bit and put it together again. I did only need a screwdriver and a two pence coin. They are happily set up in my mum's now.
