Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

just got a cheapo christmas card addressed to our house number and inside, to number ** from number **

 

what is the point!!???

 

They do it every year too, we even sent them one back one year with our names clearly written inside but we still get "to number **"

 

I am usually of the opinion that it's the thought that counts but there's no thought behind that, not even a nice little message!

They know you well then? I keep trying to stop sending cards to people I haven't spoken to in years, but the cards still keep coming. This is the second year I haven't posted them, and guess what? They were the first ones to get here!

next door but one sent us a card to "Ian and wife"!!!! Me, aloof? surely not!

 

To be honest they do nothing but row and slam doors so i do avoid them, I know their names as I can hear them being screamed at each other, daren't repeat them on here but wonder if I should adress their Christmas card using those names

I sometimes put to the xxxxx family if I can't remember all the names - well one has 6 kids!

Hubby's aunt and uncle once sent us a card addressed to "xxxxx and Fiancee"!

 

I wouldn't mind but at the time we'd been together for 9 years and married for 2 of those....

I haven't been married for 10 years, but still get a card addressed to me, 'ex's name' and Rosie. I wouldn't mind, but I send them a card every year with the correct names in it.. and an address sticker too!

We live in a small cul-de-sac, so everyone seems to send cards to each other, I didn't want to this year - only send to the people we actually talk to. But hubby decided to write them and post them instead. One card said 'to all' on the envelope, another neighbour always calls me 'Kate' which isn't my name, we've lived her over 3 years now so it seems a bit late to correct her.

 

What annoys me even more is when Daniel brings home loads of cards from school, which have been written by the parents. The children can still barely read or write, it seems such a waste, and I don't really want 30 cards from children I don't know cluttering up my house.

 

My SIL has been given a list of 51 names by her son's nursery - they're all 3 and under - as if she has no choice about it. I told her I would've refused, but she's already half way through writing them
