Ygerna
and if you can what are the 'rules'. I've got homemade mincemeat (delias and its delia-icious ) and will be making my own pastry too. Can I bake and then Freeze, or do I Freeze and then bake OR, can they not be frozen at all and I just need to squeeze getting them done into an already busy end of the week
Christian
I bake mine and then freeze them. Took them out of the freezer yesterday and they are fine. Just cover well to avoid risk of frost damage. Not that they are in the freezer long
Space Chick
Same here, I bake and wrap them in foil before I freeze.
kerryegg
They freeze well. It's also nice to defrost one quickly in the m/w if you fancy a treat. i also freeze jam tarts and fruit cake cut in slices to save having stale cake. ( Not usually a problem! ). Chucky Mama
I froze some today and did the same last year and they were fine. I made Delia's mincemeat too this year and it is fab So different from shop bought, I've never go back to buying it now.
