I have seen my chickens go for a dead frog but I would rather it was raw than cooked any day

That's what i thought too.

 

That was the first and last time they will be fed meat.(i thought my uncle would of had sence not to feed them meat)

 

But what i don't get is,most of the grubs in the garden they eat is meat? (Worms,slugs,frogs,mice,newts ect and stuff like mealworms & Tuna)

I think it is all about 'natural' eating behaviour and that in the wild, chickens would indeed eat worms, even frogs and mice. But never cows, pigs or sheep and even cannibalistic behaviour would be considered abnormal.

Feeding cooked meat or fish of any type is not a natural food source.

 

Mealworms are a natural food source
