tom123
Has anyone got a long, narrow WIR??? For our new hen run we have a space roughly 1.2m wide by 5m and don't know if a WIR would work there??? Pics would be good!! Thanks Tom
Olly
I don't have one, but I don't see why not - hens don't care what shape it is! The main thing is - will you have room to get in and out (should do, with 1.2m) and if you had an Eglu or Cube inside, will there be room to manoeuvre it? I'm guessing that you'll have it outside in this case.
tom123
I guess. I've got a 4x2 coop on legs which will be put on the outside of it. The only reason I asked really was to see some pictures of narrow ones for ideas. Thanks Tom
Chook n Boo Mum
Try pegging it out in the position you are planning to built it with a length of Omlet fencing or similar, then you'll get a "real" idea of what it will give you spacewise.......that's what I'd do anyway Sha x

Jennyhenny
I would love to see some pictures also, my garden is tiny and the girls are on one side of it cordened off with the famous net from Knowle Nets With all this horrible weather I'm trying to talk my other half into building a walk in run, pictures would be really helpful to see what we could do Jennyhenny
Janty
The run that I have ordered from Tony is 5 mtrs x 2 mtrs at one end and 1 mtr at the other. He didn't seem to think that it would be a problem so it sounds ok to me.
batcatz
Hi, my walk in run will be 1.2m. My cat run is 1.2m wide and the eglu fits, but its awkward. So, I was thinking of either a door at the end where you can pull out the tray, and door at side to get to the egg port or a wider width just where the eglu is. Cat run: close up of eglu. I've pushed it over to the left a bit more since this pic. I can just about get down the side to reach the grub and dustbath that are at the back in the sheltered area.
