Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

I have to say, I always say good morning to my girls and tell the ones who aren't laying to get their lazy bums in gear! Last night when I went to lock them up,I did a check of the nest box to get any late eggs out, and had a full blown conversation with them,and told the girls that I couldn't understand why 6 of them had to squeeze into the nesting box and sit on each others head when there was all that roosting bar space.Basically they just bokked back at me and I think they said that they did it because they could,and as it was not affecting me in any way,then why was I moaning at them! Well that told me!

Talk to everything that moves and occasionally things that don't (things that don't usually require swearing at) - the neighbours give me a wide berth now.

The first thing I do when I get out of the car when I come home from work is say 'Hi Girls be out in a minute'. I get very strange looks from anyone walking past. One of my teenage sons freinds caught me this evening walking round the garden with Lola tucked under my arm, giving her a lecture on how not to be a nasty bully so she could go back and live with the others. I was telling her she had lots of nice feathers so why did she have to eat Lilys. I chat away to the dog when we are out walking as well, she never answers back though.

The best one so far was Phil (who likes to make out he's a hard man) with Susan our Silkie.

 

She was going through her mega broody stage, and he'd lifted her out of the nesting box, was cuddling her and telling her "Come on Suze darling, you don't want to be broody, surely you'd rather be playing in the garden with your sisters"

 

Little did he know that both I and our big burly manly neighbour were watching him. He didn't mind me, but was very embarrassed about the neighbour He lost so much neighbourhood "street cred" in those few seconds

Sounds like Murray - he finds worms for the girls when he's digging and passes them round - "you've already had one, that one over there whatever your name is hasn't had any yet . . . " although he doesn't really get the name thing.
