They are outside somewhere on the leicester warwickshire border and survived last winter

Not particularly amazing photos, but those bees most certainly are!

I am, of course, wondering if they have survived the recent low temperatures. At least they had mainly cross-sealed the outer comb ends of the earlier comb building. That will have considerably improved their chances, along with possible protecion from the ivy other greenery, presumably a southish facade and possibly 'loadsa warmth' draining through that window.

 

They have needed more protection for much longer, this winter than last. But they were that much more robust going in to the winter.......

 

Is there anyone (who has a contact addy?) able to determine the state of them now, I wonder?
