gooner.girl
Well, i'll try not to crow to loudly (don't want to upset Phil ) but Yes! Come on you Gooners!!!!!!!!!!!! If we had scored those 2 penalties and Adebayor had scored that open goal we would have scored 6! And i see it was the Bolton players getting sent off and booked for diving - tut tut.... Martin B
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET 3 POINTS! If Gilberto had scored the penalty, "Ooops, word censored!"nal would have kept the ball and Bolton would have gave up. If Adebayor had scored after the miss 2-0 and then I would have 2 points because there was no way back! I applaud "Ooops, word censored!"nal for their amazing football tonight, simply brilliant. I was very impressed with Denilson. I'd like to applaud Bolton for their "never say die" attitude. A great game of football Well done to Phil for getting all 3 points. Guest
Well, i'll try not to crow to loudly (don't want to upset Phil ) but Yes! Come on you Gooners!!!!!!!!!!!! You go girl - have your day!! If we had scored those 2 penalties and Adebayor had scored that open goal we would have scored 6! if...if...if.. the first penalty should not have been awarded - TBH clearly got the ball you also seem to forget that we hit the bar and the post... and the third goal was inevitable when we only had 10 men - and all of them were in the "Ooops, word censored!"nal penalty box!! (cough - badly deflected first goal - cough!!!) stelios also missed a golden chance early in the second half (I also thought TBH's sending off was harsh - not the second yellow, but the first - that was for absolutely nothing - and I think the ref also took the penalty into account - which, as I have pointed out - should not have been given) Our defeat was assured before we kicked off - I knew that when the teams were announced - and Campo was at right-back (!) - which is like putting a little sign out saying "Attack down the left - campo's there - he has the pace of a tortoise and the turning circle of an oil-tanker!" (he's still a hero though!!) and that meant we couldn't play a midfield enforcer (usually campo - or Faye - but Faye was injured) - thus allowing "Ooops, word censored!"nal way to much space around he edge of our box - which showed in the first half. Coupled with Davies being injured, "Ooops, word censored!"nal suddenly believed they could win - and it showed for the first 45mins - though their confidence waned in the second half... but... overall, "Ooops, word censored!"nal were worthy of their win in the first half they played us off the pitch - we couldn't get near them! BUT - I reckon we shaded the second half - I was really proud of the lads. Freddie's finish was quality - and worthy of winning the match. so... (deep breath!) - fair play - well done Helen, hit me with all you've got!!! Phil PS - totally agree about Campo he let himself down there - he was cheating and it's not on!! It is still cheating even if it is a Bolton player (perhaps you can grit your teeth and condemn Tiny Tears just the same, eh Helen?? )
Guest
Still... I was totally cheered up afterwards by watching Buzzcocks with the missus - Simon Amstell is SO good on that programme. it was the one where Preston walked off because they read out some pages from Chantelle's autobiography!! Ed Byrne was on last night - Bill Bailey always makes me laugh and Phil Jupitus was on form too - nearly wet myself!! Phil Oh - and I got three points in the prediction table!! whoopee!! Guest
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET 3 POINTS! I did warn you Martin that MORE predicting isn't necessarily a good thing in your case!! here's a tip, though - stop predicting Villa wins!! head over heart, lad! Guest
So here's the revised table.... One point for Annie Chelsea and Martin (though nearly docked points for Annie!!!!!) three points for Phil!! no points for Dan (slipping up badly there!) Helen (pessimism princess!) and Lorna (after such a good start!) new table: name total Dan 23 Phil 23 Helen 21 Annie 20 Chelsea 20 Lorna 19 Martin 15 all of which means... Dan and Phil are Prediction Princess Twins!! The boys are firmly back on top!! Phil (NB: table includes extra pt. for martin as it is national "be charitable to poor Villa fans" week, following the sudden national recognition that MoN is not, in fact, the greatest manager who ever lived, but, instead, a prize numpty! what a turn-up, eh?) I'm not going to 'hit you with all i have got' Phil I think the fact that we won speaks for itself (and that we won whilst resting our 3 best players!) so i shall rise above all your moaning about poor harshly done by Bolton and smile smugly and enjoy the victory...
