Jennyhenny
Hi, One of my girls has been off for a couple of days now Yesterday I found an egg with no shell under the rungs in the eglu so thought a softie may have been the problem. However this morning she still isn't right, I have noticed she has mucky knickers so I have given her a wash and blow dry I thought maybe a worming may be a good idea. I have Flubenvet, if I remember from the forum you weigh out a certain amount of mash and put in the Flubenvet and feed this to them for one week but I can't remember the amount of mash to Flubenbet Can anybody help please Thank you in anticipation Jennyhenny Edited to say, just been out to check her and noticed her feet look a little pink too, don't know if this is anything to do with her feeling off Edited again to say, can you have two softies, one day after the other ? Tutti Frutti
Depends on the concentration of the flubenvet but I've got the "weak" 1% pre-mixed version and it's 6g of Flubenvet to 2kg of food.
Jennyhenny
Oh dear I don't know what concentration it is. Another Omlet member purchased it and we all had a share about 20 of us I think Jennyhenny
Tutti Frutti
Did you buy it recently? If so, it's likely to be the 1% concentration, as the stronger stuff (IIRC) became restricted for business use only (or something like that) so us back-yark chook keepers can generally only get the 1% stuff. Just a thought - have you tried PMing the Omlet member who bought it? They might have the box and instructions!
Redwing
If 20 of you shared the pot and if you ended up with more than a few tablespoonfuls of the stuff then its likely to have been the higher strength stuff as the 1% only comes in a 60g tub where the stronger stuff is a 240g tub 2.5% strength of Flubenvet dosage is 1.2g per kilo feed
Tutti Frutti
Good point Redwing! My little 60g pot of 1% would hardly go between 2, let alone 20! I remember an Omleteer saying (sorry, I can't remember who but thanks anyway!) that 240g pots of 2.5% are now available again as long as produce isn't sold (e.g. googled and found Hyperdrug but bound to be others). Plum
1/2 tsp to 2Kg of feed for the 240g pot.
