what a shock - i just hatched a naked neck chick!

Recommended Posts

yes good idea Hazel.

2 of the naked necks have a bib of feathers at the front from throat to crop and just naked at the back whilst the 3rd is completely naked. Do you think they are crossed with something or just a product of many generations of breeding? Just curious

Hi Raina, Im Gingernut from the Urban-chickens forum. I'm glad you are getting some eggs now, have you a copy of Practical Poultry magazine, they have a list of breeders in all areas of the country. Also have you looked on Bid4Poultry.co.uk or Preloved.co.uk

Oh I'd love some naked necks. I'm going to try & sneak some this year. Either they will mysteriously appear in the chicken shed one morning.... , or I will hatch some & not crack on what breed they are!

Gorgeous chick pics.
