Mel (& Paul)
Ok I have just received a report back typed remotely (Australia I think!). Despite spelling sight as "sight" as in sight guage, she (or he) has typed it as site guage. Anyway I can locate each reference to "site" in the 20 page report and autochange it (microsoft word) or do I have to go through each and every line

Mel (& Paul)
Learnt something here again BBx What? That I want to kiss graham or site guage is actually spelt sight gauge - unless you have digital dictation and a secretary from another planet......... The Dogmother
You should see the spelling we see on some of the letters we get in here Mel!

Mel (& Paul)
I dont mind so much if it is a typo but is a real word, just the wrong one - that's just sloppy proof reading. I get really cross when its obviously spelt wrong and they havent even bothered to use spell check
The Dogmother
The person dictating the letter really should check it (or someone should) before it gets issued. As you say - shoddiness! Mind you, I'm a real one for 'keyboard dyslexia' I can't touch type so my brain (sometimes) tends to go faster than my fingers and it all comes out looking like Dutch
Egluntyne
Is it me...I haven't understood at all what the beginning of this thread is about.
The Dogmother
Mel's received a mis-typed document from another office, and needs to know how to go through it quickly and autocorrect all the errors. Only it didn't come out quite like that (took me a few goes and I know Mel )
