Is your dog's unusual barking a secret code for something mysterious?

I like the individual portion sized all butter pastry cases that you can buy ready made but I am lacking inspiration.

 

I either fill them with a chocolate ganache to make a chocolate tart or with a banana and caramel mixture and a swirl of cream to make instant banoffee pie.

 

I haven't tried it but do you think lemon curd topped with cream or meringue sounds tasty?

 

Has any one any other ideas for fillings? Maybe something that uses cream cheese?

Hows about a sweet cheesecake filling with strawberries & quick gel on top? Or that yummy custard filling from M&S & some fruit? Or jam - then condensed milk & coconut filling - baked to make maids of honour? Stewed apple & piped cream swirls - like apple charlottes.

I know I always say it but it really is easy and delicious -

 

3 egg yolks

tin of condensed milk

juice of 3-4 lemons

 

Mix up and pour in pastry case and cook in oven for approx 15mins til just set.

 

dust with icing sugar...
