The Dogmother
7-13th June 2010 It’s a chance to have fun, raise vital funds AND spread the message about free-range eggs and high welfare ingredients. Why Bake with Compassion? Every year, around 3 billion laying hens are confined in battery cages around the world. Hidden from view, they are kept in appalling conditions which restrict their natural behaviours and often cause pain, injury and suffering. By taking part in Bake with Compassion, you will help highlight how food choices can benefit millions of lives. http://ciwf.org.uk/help_us/fundraising/bake_with_compassion/default.aspx Who needs an excuse to bake cakes? Janty
We have registered...just need to set a date now. I think it will be in the June half term rather than during the set week as it will be easier while we are off.
Guest
I too would like to do something but its a thinking cap moment. I can't do anything at school except in the staffroom as they have some very strange rules that they don't allow the kids to bring in home baked stuff to sell. Paranoia about the wrong things again - it's not really an allergy issue, they don't stop them bringing in stuff to eat and they happily wander around with peanut butter sandwiches! Maybe I could do something each day for a week instead of one day. Normally I bake them cakes for free!
Janty
Ooooooo! Hubby has just suggested that we have another Omlet meet at ours on that day. If it's nice we could have a bbq. The last meet was in Feb 2009 so the weather was a bit dodgy.
