My new has arrived I plan to put the Eglu on a table in my WIR - as a first time hen keeper my question is - will my new hens manage a ladder straight away? or should I leave the Eglu on the ground for a few days? Everything is coming together which makes all that planning worthwhile - maybe I'll be able to sleep at night now without thinking about chickens/WIRs/Eglus/ladders etc:pray: Still got some work to do - or rather OH does - still need to put pvc roofing panels on before girls arrive saturday. Will get tarps and guttering later as can't do everything at once. We would like to say a big thank you to all who have helped us over the last few weeks with all of our questions - without this forum we would have been really floundering We can only hope that in time we will be able to help others as you have all helped us - and of course, special thanks to ANH in particular who let us visit her - invaluable as OH at that time was not sure of the whole chook idea at that stage Now he is getting keener than me!
