RULES FOR EXHIBITORS TO NOTE:

1. Entry forms must be submitted together with correct entry fees and form must be signed by exhibitor – entries will not be accepted without signature and/or payment. Closing date for entries is Wed. 28th April 2010. Entry fees will not be refunded should the exhibitor wish to cancel any of his/her entries.

2. Should the owner of the Exhibit(s) be different from the Exhibitor, signature on the form by the Exhibitor signifies that the exhibitor has obtained the Owner’s authorisation to show the exhibit(s).

3. Any minors accompanying Exhibitors to the Show are the responsibility of the Exhibitor. Child Exhibitors must be accompanied by an adult.

4. By signing the form overleaf the Exhibitor agrees to abide by the decision of the Show Committee should any dispute arise.

5. The Exhibitor must follow all instructions by Chief Stewards, Stewards or Safety Officials at the Show.

6. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to ensure that appropriate Insurance cover is in place for the showing of his exhibits at the show.

7. All Livestock Exhibitors must be deemed capable of handling any animal they are exhibiting.

8. In the event of an exhibitor losing control of an animal and where danger to the public is imminent, stewards under instruction from the Section Chief Steward, will immediately evacuate the danger area, to a ‘Safe’ area to minimise the risk of injury. Exhibitors must co-operate with the stewards on duty at all times.

9. Stewards will be vigilant at all times, assessing the temperament of animals and the Association ask that exhibitors co-operate with the stewards by informing them of any concerns and assisting to bring an animal under control, should this be necessary. Vets will be on duty during show days and can be accessed by radio link via Section Chief Steward or show office.

10. Muster stations/Assembly points will be clearly marked and crowds will be directed to the appropriate points via the stewards and announcements when/if necessary.

11. Emergency Excess/Access routes must be kept clear at all times.

12. Entrances/walkways to and from showing rings/marquees must be kept clear.

13. First Aid Cover will be available on site via a Doctor and St John’s Ambulance. Should anyone require assistance contact the nearest steward or show office immediately.

14. All Accidents, near misses or injuries must be reported to the stewards, who will in turn inform the office and exhibitors may be asked to attend the show office as soon as possible to record incident in the Accident Report book.

Sorry Josh, bit of a drama at home this evening..

 

I would say its just so that if your birds are injured, damaged by someone or stolen that the show wont accept responsibility so you would need to have insurance of your own in place - personally I dont have insurance for my birds at shows, I would just cover the costs of any problems myself

 

You could phone the secretary of the show and ask, they are always happy to answer quuestions and encourage people to come to the show
