abwsco
please I need a two man tent that is a pop up one as DD and her friend have booked for Creamfields. Bought one today but I'm taking it back as it wasn't a pop up and we couldn't put it up Mind you there were no instructions. I assume a double skin one would be best. chelsea
We have a Coleman for quick weekends away. Can literally put it up in 5 or so minutes, it's similar to this one: http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/coleman-rock-springs-3-tent-p-3069.html 3 man might be slightly better for a bit of extra room for storage/clothes and to allow for airbeds etc.

C&T
Echo Chelsea - get a 3 or 4 man tent. 2 man means you can fit two people in laying down to sleep. It does not mean you can fit in any baggage as well!
Guest
***eta, sorry didn't realise you wanted a pop up one but will leave this post on just in case anyone else is interested*** we've just come back from 'outdoor world' having looked at tents. The ones we liked the look of were... Orchy 500 was £199 in the shop but £10 cheaper on line. It's a 5 man tent but it only has 2 seperate bedrooms. I'd say it was more of a 4 man tent but more my idea of a 2 man tent! I want lots of room http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/vango-orchy-500-tent-p-1919.html we also like the look of the Icarus 600; £199 in the shop but £179 on the web site, this says it's a 6 man tent, again i'd say it would be a nice roomy 2 man! http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/vango-icarus-600-tent-p-1917.html others we like were... http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/coleman-ridgeline-6-plus-tent-p-3067.html and favourite of all was... which is only £99 http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/aztec-cordoba-5-tent-p-2865.html we're going to 'discover leisure' to look at their tents next but I would advise you to go and look at them and stand in them and see what you think because you don't get a good feel for them off the web and as I say, for the two of us I'd be looking at least a 4 or 5 man tent! This one was my absolute favourite, 4 seperate bedrooms and a very roomy middle bit to sit in and relax if the weather is poo but it was a bit pricey! http://www.outdoorworld.co.uk/sprayway-hood-river-8-tent-p-3161.html
Guest
just seen this one, me, mum and DH can all have a bedroom each http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_745403_langId_-1_categoryId_236904
Guest
just seen this one which is available at halfords too, says it's easy to put up and it has a sewn in groundsheet...seems a really good price too! http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10787634&ecamp=trf-
abwsco
There are some amazing tents around. Pity I don't do camping -lol My sister got a ginormous one for the three of them plus the 2 dogs. I know it's got a lounge and a porch and they ended up buying a small horsey type trailer box in the end to transport everything in They've got to have a tent that's idiot proof to put up. DH lovingly calls DD and her friend dumb and dumber when they're together. Lord help me come August as my nerves will be shot.
Guest
we've just ordered this one, thought it best to get one with 2 bedrooms so we can maybe take mum with us in the warmer months... http://www.camping-supplies-uk.com/tents/gelert/gelert-albury809.htm?PHPSESSID=9ghnfu4lv2kfni6ujgo0bcc7u4 http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/Gelert-Albury-8/1126 I think it's adequate for 2 people and a small dog! Guest
p.s. Anne, have a look at Millets web site, they seem to focus on the smaller easy erectable tents http://www.millets.co.uk/category/camping/tents.html

Guest
this one looks smashing Anne and it's got a review underneath http://www.millets.co.uk/camping/tents/pop-up-tents/product/095915.html
PurpleTree
Presumably if she's taking it to a festival, you don't want to spend to much money on it. She'll probably only be using it to sleep in too, so won't need acres of space. This one looks much the same http://www.millets.co.uk/camping/tents/pop-up-tents/product/095914.html but a bit cheaper. The only problem I can see with the pop up ones, is putting them away again.
abwsco
Thanks Justine and PurpleTree I found this one late last night and although it's only a two person one it is a double skin which my sister was telling me would be better.
Guest
that looks great Anne and a good price too. A good hydrostatic rating too which should keep them nice and dry! Our tent is arriving tomorrow, we ordered it yesterday on-line from a local company and they are kindly dropping it off in person as they're passing our way, that's what I call service! We've already picked a camp site near us, for a test run, which looks lovely. It only opened last August and is right next to a pub http://www.fishpoolfarmcaravanpark.co.uk/welcome-fishpool-farm-caravan-park Hope your DD and friend have a lovely time at Creamfields and hopefully the weather stays nice for them! xxx
abwsco
Wow, that's brilliant service Justine Camp site looks excellent as well so am going to send my sister the link as they're always after new places to try. I'm also sure that DD and her friend will ahve a great time although I'll be a nervous wreck!

MimiMeow
This one looks much the same http://www.millets.co.uk/camping/tents/pop-up-tents/product/095914.html but a bit cheaper. The only problem I can see with the pop up ones, is putting them away again. My OH and I have been using that particular one PurpleTree mentioned the last two years we went to a music festival and we love it. The instructions for putting it away aren't the greatest but I would suggest youtubing for videos on how to put it away as there is a little knack to it. It's oh so easy once you figure it out! abwsco
Thanks Justine and PurpleTree I found this one late last night and although it's only a two person one it is a double skin which my sister was telling me would be better. Just to say I've stopped dithering and ordered this one as they had free p & p as well.
MimiMeow
They're not bad for space actually. We fitted an inflatable double bed in ours together with the rest of our junk. Perfect for a festival - probably not for proper camping though.

Wasn't quite as easy to put away though-lol
